FIELD: packaging industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a lid (1) for sealing a container containing a neck defining an opening, wherein the lid (1) extends along central axis (A) and comprising: a body (2) moulded from a thermoplastic material and having an upper wall (5) and a skirt (15), and also comprises a gripping portion (30) moulded from the thermoplastic elastomer over a portion of the body (2) and at least partially around the central axis (A), wherein the thermoplastic elastomer is softer, compared to the thermoplastic material, from which the body (2) is made, wherein the gripping portion (30) is moulded only on some portion of the outer surface (18) of the skirt (15) and is bounded along the central axis (A) by an upper edge (32) located at a distance from the upper wall (5), and a lower edge (31) located at a distance from the upper edge (32) towards the free end (16) of skirt (15).
