FIELD: biotechnology.

SUBSTANCE: strains of Gardnerella vaginalis VKM B-3001D (genotype I) and Gardnerella vaginalis VKM B-3003D (genotype III), which have a pronounced pathogenic potential, an ability to colonize vaginal mucosa in women of reproductive age and cause severe clinical symptoms of bacterial vaginosis, and strain of Gardnerella vaginalis VKM B-3002D (genotype II), which has less pathogenic potential and colonizing ability, which is associated with asymptomatic bacterial vaginosis, and a collection containing these strains, are proposed. The collection is intended for selection of site-specific primers when creating a diagnostic PCR panel that allows to identify all three genotypes and evaluate the pathogenic potential of Gardnerella vaginalis directly in vaginal discharge specimens.

EFFECT: increased accuracy of the vaginosis diagnosis.
