FIELD: transportation.
SUBSTANCE: method for driving a vehicle having a power unit with main and auxiliary power sources, with the first and second characteristic torque curves, respectively, includes determination of the current value specified by the driver and the current conditions for traction adapting to the vehicle while driving with simultaneous use of both power sources. Then, the limiting curve of the power unit is corrected in accordance with the torque factor for traction adaptation, depending on the current condition of traction adaptation. Further, the current value set by the driver is limited in accordance with the corrected power-unit limiting curve. Commands are sent to the power unit to drive the vehicle in accordance with possibly limited current value specified by the driver.
EFFECT: fuel consumption is reduced.
