FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: intragastric balloon for overweight correction comprises an elastic shell in which the valve assembly is mounted. Valve assembly consists of a cylinder made of silicone rubber with a Shore hardness of A 50-65 and with a hollow proximal end connected to the flange, sealed on a spherical shell, and a closed distal end, in which longitudinal cut is made, thin-walled silicone tube with Shore hardness of A 25-50 is put on the outer side of the cylinder. Alternative designs of the intragastric balloon are disclosed.
EFFECT: increasing strength and eliminatation of the possibility of deformation of valve distal part with decompression of leaves and loss of tightness and leakage during installation or operation of the product.
