FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: feeding tube assembly comprises a feeding tube body with a wall, its inner tubular surface forms a feeding channel extending from the opening at the proximal end to the opening at the distal end portion. The feeding tube has the first cross-sectional profile at a distance from the proximal end to the distal end, characterized by an outer tubular surface defining the outer perimeter in the form of a circle and an inner tubular surface defining the non-circular inner perimeter. The second cross-sectional profile on the segment from the distal end along the distal end portion is characterized by an outer tubular surface defining the outer perimeter in the form of a circle and an inner tubular surface defining the inner perimeter in the form of a circle. The base is located at the proximal end of the feeding tube body with a possibility of positioning outside the human body having the first end and the second end and a defining opening leading into the feeding channel. The retaining component is located at the distal end of the feeding tube body, with a possibility of insertion into the human body cavity. The distal end portion has the first and the second parts. The first part is proximal to the second part, the distal end portion wall has a constant and relatively large thickness of the first part along the entire perimeter and a constant and relatively smaller thickness in its second part, and the first and second parts of the distal end portion have the same outer perimeter. Feeding tube versions are disclosed.
EFFECT: possibility of increasing flow through the feeding tube without increasing its outer diameter.
