SUBSTANCE: method for assembling tires for vehicle wheels comprises forming components made of elastomeric material on a shape-generating support. According to the method, a continuous elongated element made of an elastomeric material is produced by means of an extruder. The extruder outlet head is located between the convergent input portions of two opposite conveyor belts. The continuous elongated element is introduced between the conveyor belts so that it contacts with them. The continuous elongated element is moved by means of the conveyor belts to the shape-generating support. The continuous elongated element is applied in accordance with the windings wound on the shape-generating support to form a component made of elastomeric material.
EFFECT: increased quality of products.
