FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: portable low flow gas dispenser comprises a housing having a distal end and a proximal end and a cylinder located within the housing and containing a compressed therapeutic gas. The gas control unit is connected to the cylinder. The spray and filter tip is attached to the distal end of the housing. The tip has a wall forming a chamber that is in fluid communication with the gas control unit. The wall contains porous material, including pores and meandering paths through the tip wall. The control unit contains a limiting nozzle to control the gas flow rate from the cylinder to the tip. The tip is further configured to atomize and filter the therapeutic gas as the gas flows through the porous material of the tip wall. A method for therapeutic gas delivery to the nasal mucosa and a method for allergic rhinitis treatment are disclosed.

EFFECT: simplified management of gas delivery to the mucous membrane of the patient's nose while reducing the patient's discomfort.
