SUBSTANCE: invention relates to an electrically heated smoking system for receiving an aerosol generating substrate that comprises at least one heating element for heating the substrate to form an aerosol; a power supply for supplying power to at least one heating element; an electrical circuit connected to a power supply and to at least one heating element; an interface configured to establish a communication connection for uploading data to a host device connected to the Internet and downloading data from a specified host device, mentioned electrical circuit being programmable by downloading software from a host device connected to the Internet via mentioned communication link.
EFFECT: providing user programming of the device using remote servers.
