SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a sachet of an aerosol-forming substrate for use in an electrically heated aerosol-generating device and to an electrically heated system which generates an aerosol for use with a sachet. Sachet package for the aerosol-forming substrate to be used in the electrically heated aerosol-generating device, wherein the sachet comprises a porous container; and an aerosol-forming substrate, wherein the aerosol-forming substrate inside the container has a porosity of about 0.2 to about 0.35, and wherein the porosity is the volume fraction of the empty space inside the container.

EFFECT: technical results of the invention are reduced variability and high quality of the aerosol generated by such devices.
