FIELD: electricity.

SUBSTANCE: method of determining the dielectric permeability ε of a material consists in measurement of a geometric difference of lengths at a fixed resonator frequency without a sample and with a sample of the tested material ΔL=LT-LTS, but on the basis of calculation of a difference in the electrical lengths of the resonator without a sample and with a sample of the tested material . The method of determining the dielectric permeability in the volumetric waveguide resonator includes tuning of the resonator on resonance frequency without a sample of the tested material, placing the sample of the tested material in the resonator, tuning of the resonator on resonance frequency by moving a movable piston, recording of the indication of the sensor of the mobile piston movement and computation of dielectric permeability, differs in the fact that after the resonator tuning with the sample in a resonance the frequency is recorded on which the resonator with the sample is tuned according to which the dielectric permeability is calculated.

EFFECT: higher accuracy in determining dielectric permeability of the dielectric materials.
