SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for controlled accumulation of continuous striplike elements (2) for tire assembly, as well as to a production line which implements the mentioned method. A continuous strip (6) of elastomeric material containing reinforcing cords (3) fed through an extrusion die (10) is cut to form continuous striplike elements (2). In the formation region (Z) of the continuous striplike elements (2), the guiding devices apply biasing forces to each of the continuous striplike elements (2) for their direction along divergent trajectories. The biasing forces are changed by the driving elements (33) located outside the formation region (Z) of the continuous striplike elements (2). Each continuous striplike element (2) is accumulated on a corresponding coil (17).
