FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: vacuum-plasma deposition of wear-resistant coating made of nitride or carbonitride of niobium and zirconium at their ratio %: Niobium 50.1, zirconium 49.9. Coating is carried out horizontally arranged in one plane by three cathodes, the first and the second of which are made of niobium and positioned opposite to each other, and the third is made of zirconium and placed between them.
EFFECT: higher cutting tool efficiency.
