FIELD: machine engineering.
SUBSTANCE: tool-electrode for combined cutting is executed with a possibility of rotation and movement in the direction of the cut work-piece at right angles to the cutting zone. The tool-electrode is made of a conductive carbon layer disposed in a silicone layer having a diamond bearing layer. The carbon layer is made of bundles of carbon fibers having hydrophilic properties, densely packed as a continuous line running radially with turns at the ends of the layer to form protruding segments.
EFFECT: increase in productivity and qualitative indices of the process of electric diamond cutting due to reinforcement of current lead and intensive, guaranteed delivery of electrolyte to the treatment zone.
