FIELD: dimensional electrochemical and mechanical machining of preliminarily cut cylindrical, bevel and other gear wheels. SUBSTANCE: machining of gear wheel teeth is carried out in two stages with continuous pumping of electrolyze through interelectrode gap between teethed blank (anode) and tool gear wheel with diamond-bearing layer (cathode). At the first stage, tool gear wheel is rotated clockwise with relative slippage along surface of blank teeth and creation of extrapole engagement between them. Then, opposite side of tooth blank surface is machined by rotation counterclockwise of gear wheel with relative slippage. Cycle is ended with discrete convergence of axis of tool gear wheel and toothed blank. After 10-50 repetitions of cycle, the second stage of electrodiamond machining is effected. Two-four cycles of the first stage are accomplished without treatment with electric current and convergence of tool gear wheel and toothed blank. EFFECT: higher productivity and machining accuracy due to improvement of geometric parameters of engagement of tool and work and kinematic parameters of machining. 2 dwg, 1 tbl
