FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: operating method of the engine is carried out by means of an electronic controller (12) and is intended for the vehicle engine (10). The motor (10) is provided with a central throttle (62) and a port throttle (83). The method consists in regulating the pressure in the inlet manifold (44) by the central throttle (62) in response to the required air charge of the cylinder (30) in the first throttle control mode and adjusting the pressure at the inlet port (81) by the port throttle (83) in response to the required air charge of the cylinder (30) in the second throttle control mode. The engine (10) is operated in the first throttle control mode with the first breaking medium effective pressure (BMEP) of the steady state, and the engine (10) is switched to the operation in the second throttle control mode with a second steady state in response to changes in the engine operating conditions. The central throttle (62) is closed during the transition by a larger amount than the opening amount of the central throttle (62) in the first throttle control mode and the second throttle control mode. The opening of the central throttle (62) of the steady state is determined by the controller (12) based on the BMEP or torque request by the driver using the accelerator pedal (130), sending a signal to the controller (12). In this case, the controller (12) initiates the transition from the first throttle control mode to the second throttle control mode in response to the BMEP or torque request. The invention describes a version of implementation of an engine operating method.
EFFECT: providing the required amount of air in the transition between conditions where the port throttle position affects the amount of air in the cylinder and the conditions where the port throttle position has little or no effect on the amount of air in the cylinder.
