FIELD: engine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to transition processes of exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) in engine systems. Disclosed are methods and systems for reducing transient processes of torque experienced when a special cylinder EGR is withdrawn from operation to attenuate EGR. Prior to deceleration of special cylinder position of inlet throttle and setting ignition of remaining cylinders of engine is adjusted to increase torque reserve in anticipation of negative transition of torque during decommissioning. Then throttle position or ignition timing is adjusted to reduce torque when positive torque transition is expected.
EFFECT: invention improves transient processes of recirculating exhaust gases and increases engine resistance to EGR.
