FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to aqueous dispersion paint comprising silanized particles of colloidal silica and an acrylate-based binder, wherein the weight ratio of SiO2 to an acrylate-based binder based on dry matter ranges is from 0.02 to 0.2 and wherein the content of SiO2, measured by X-ray fluorescence (XRF), fluctuates in the said dispersion paint in the range of 1.05 to 7.5 wt %, where the silane groups present in silanized colloidal silica particles are derived from silanes containing an epoxy group, a glycidoxide group, a glycidoxypropyl group, ureido based silanes, methacrylamidosilanes, mercaptosilanes, and combinations thereof, and wherein the colloidal silica particles are prepared by polymerizing polysilicic acid formed from a liquid glass. The invention also relates to the use of a dispersion paint for the colouring of bricks, minerals, wood, metal surfaces, plastics, ceramics, binders, glass, or porcelain.
