FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: two-stroke engine comprises a stepped cylinder in which a stepped piston with compression rings is arranged to move along the axis of the cylinder, dividing the cylinder into two cavities. One cavity is annular, lateral, in the walls of which the inlet windows are made, is a working cavity. The second - the over-piston cavity is made with an exhaust channel. The stepped piston in the upper part is equipped with a compression ring. The over-piston cavity is made of a suction and is equipped with bypass windows made in the form of lateral grooves in the compression ring. At the same time, the exhaust duct, which connects the suction cavity with the atmosphere, is equipped with a check valve. The inlet windows of the working cavity are located at an angle of 45° to the cylindrical wall of the working cavity in the plane of the cross section. The volumes of the suction and working cavities are correlated with each other as (3-4):1.
EFFECT: increase the efficiency of the engine by increasing the compression ratio in the combustion chamber.
