SUBSTANCE: proposed internal combustion engine has stepped cylinder accommodating stepped piston dividing the cylinder into pressure and working spaces, intake and outer channels, fuel injection system and camshaft. Engine is provided with bypass channel whose inlet is located in pressure space and outlet, in working space. Pressure space is pre-piston one having larger capacity than working space.
