FIELD: engine devices and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: fuel system for internal combustion engines (ICE) operating on gaseous fuel is proposed, including: a tank for gaseous fuel; a first pressure controller 200 is provided with a high-pressure chamber 84 connected to the tank for gaseous fuel, a low-pressure chamber 86 connected to the fuel ramp of the internal combustion engine and a reference pressure chamber 88. The system comprises: a second pressure controller 201 connected to the reference pressure chamber 88; a first valve 205 for controlling the flow of fuel from the gaseous fuel tank to the fuel ramp of the internal combustion engine; a second valve 215 for controlling the flow of fuel from the second pressure controller 201 to the reference pressure chamber 88; and a controller with a memory device, on which instructions for adjusting valves are stored based on the required pressure in the fuel ramp.
EFFECT: system provides at least two different pressures in the fuel ramp so that the maximum fuel demand can be met without having to constantly maintain the maximum pressure in the fuel ramp.
