SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in fuel supply systems of internal combustion engines (ICE). Disclosed are methods and systems for adjusting operation of internal combustion engine, configured to use direct and distributed fuel injection from a common fuel rail. According to one example, the method can provide for directing fuel from a single high pressure fuel rail via a single pipeline to one or more direct and distributed spray nozzles, each of which can be connected to engine cylinder. Fuel flow to the injector of direct and distributed injection from the common fuel rail passes through the flow switching valve.
EFFECT: invention allows reducing the number of components and simplifying the layout of the fuel system.
