FIELD: radio engineering, communication.

SUBSTANCE: disclosure of the invention is directed to the method in a mobility management node (MME1) and the mobility management node (MME1) for executing a network access gateway (PGW1, PGW2, PGW3) node selection method when establishing a PDN connection for a radio terminal (UE) with the PDN (400) identified by the APN (APN1). The said mobility management node is configured to operatively manage mobility for the radio terminal, and the said access gateway node is configured to operatively act as a network access gateway for the PDN to enable connectivity for the radio terminal with the PDN. The method comprises receiving (401), from a plurality of nodes (PGW1, PGW2, PGW3) of network access gateways, APN capacity allocation information indicating the capacity of the APN that each access gateway node has assigned for serving the APN and APN load information indicating the APN load, which each access gateway currently experiences with the APN, receiving (402), from a domain name server (DNS1), weight information indicating a relative value, at which each access gateway node is to be selected, when a PDN connection is created, and selecting (403) the gateway node to a network among the said plurality of network access gateways based on APN capacity allocation information, and APN load information, and weight information.
