Method for updating subscription data comprises receiving, by means of a mobility management network element, an update data request message sent by the home subscriber server (HSS) after updating user equipment (UE) subscription data, moreover, the data update request message contains the UE International Mobile Subscriber Identity (IMSI), the updated UE subscription data and the type of access corresponding to the updated subscription data is determined by the mobility management network element in accordance with the data update request message, the target gateway corresponding to the access type is sent, via the mobility control network element, an update message to the target gateway, wherein the update message is used to request the target gateway to update the subscription data of the UE, and the update message contains the updated subscription data of the UE and the IMSI of the UE.

EFFECT: technical result is improving the efficiency of updating subscription data of user equipment.
