FIELD: oil and gas industry.

SUBSTANCE: method for separation of gaseous mixtures containing hydrogen and carbon dioxide includes absorption removal of carbon dioxide from gaseous mixtures by absorbent based on aqueous solutions of alkali metal carbonates at elevated pressure, regeneration of rich absorbent under reduced pressure and/or elevated temperature with heat supply through boiler 5, compression of regenerated adsorbent by pump 6, cooling of the regenerated absorbent and supply to absorber 1, as well as the cooling of the vapour-gas mixture released at the regeneration of the absorbent. The rich absorbent is expanded in a hydraulic or a vapour-liquid turbine 3 to produce mechanical energy, and before it is supplied to the hydraulic or steam-liquid turbine 3 it is additionally heated by indirect heat exchange with the hot regenerated absorption medium in the additional heat exchanger 2. Cooling of the regenerated absorbent is carried out in the refrigerator 7.

EFFECT: invention makes it possible to improve efficiency of hydraulic or steam-liquid turbine operation with an increase of energy recuperation degree of the compressed rich absorbent.
