FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: method involves application of a frame on the skin area to be studied, bounding the skin are for material sampling. A disposable sterile frame of hypoallergenic adhesive plaster 40×45 mm in size and with sides width of 10 mm is used as the frame to bound a skin area of 5 cm2. Sampling of material from this area is performed using a sterile cotton swab with a height of 20 mm and moisture absorption volume of 1.5 ml, moistened with a sterile physiological solution. The material is sampled in one pass of the swab throughout the entire area of the site.
EFFECT: obtaining of accurate quantitative indicators of the microbiocenosis of the examined skin area in children of the first year of life and a high degree of repeatability of the sampling area.
