SUBSTANCE: invention is a method for exhaled air analysis for determination of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) specific for breast or thyroid cancer selected from the group consisting of perfluorodecanoic acid, perfluoro-n-pentanoic acid, perfluorononanoic acid, perfluorooctanoic acid, perfluoro-1-heptene, perfluorocyclohexane, 1H,1H-perfluoro-1-heptanol, octafluorocyclobutane, perfluoro(methylcyclohexane) and their mixtures by detecting ionized fragments of the said VOCs in an exhaled air sample.
EFFECT: as a result of this invention, early and non-invasive cancer diagnosis with high sensitivity can be carried out using exhaled air taken from cancer patients.
