METHOD FOR DETERMINATION OF SEVERITY OF INFECTIOUS MONONUCLEOSIS CAUSED BY EPSTEIN - BARR VIRUS IN ADULTS Russian patent published in 2017 - IPC A61B5/00 G01N33/48

Abstract RU 2639596 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: human body temperature is measured, an increase in sizes of the spleen, liver and lymph nodes during palpation is detected, the content of atypical mononuclears is determined in a general blood test. In addition, oropharynx condition is assessed, the area of the spleen is determined by ultrasound; a biochemical blood test is performed with ALT and ACT definition, a general blood test is performed with the definition of the number of lymphocytes. Gradual evaluation of the severity of the disease is provided for each feature. The total amount of points is calculated. Based on the score obtained, a conclusion is made about mild severity, moderate severity, or high severity of infectious mononucleosis.

EFFECT: method allows to determine the severity of infectious mononucleosis due to the definition of informative laboratory-diagnostic indicators.
