SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine and concerns a method for pathogenetic correction of metabolic disorders in infectious mononucleosis caused by Epstein-Barr virus, including drug-induced therapy, namely agents of etiotropic, pathogenetic, symptomatic therapy, wherein patient is prescribed azoxymer bromide preparation (Polyoxidonium) in dosage 12 mg sublingually 2 times a day in acute period of disease, 1–7 days of disease.

EFFECT: invention provides effective control of infectious mononucleosis, eliminated development of serious complications and transition to chronic form, reduced length of hospital stay.
