FIELD: measuring equipment.
SUBSTANCE: flow meter contains a body with fabrication and mounting holes, closed on both sides by covers with piston position sensors, four solenoid valves, a piston and a measuring cylinder, supply and discharge fittings, and two metal capacitor plates for each of the two capacity piston position sensors, one of which is the end part of the piston. The measuring cylinder and the piston consist of three interconnected elements - a central and two farthest ones of equal lengths. The length of the central elements of the measuring cylinder and piston are equal; the central element of the piston is designed as a cylinder, but the two farthest are in the form of a truncated cone adapted to be installed with its large base in the direction of the appropriate cover; the piston is fixed in the measuring cylinder through two membranes made of elastic material; the ratio of the outer diameter of the central element of the piston and the inner diameter of the measuring cylinder, as well as the elasticity of the membrane material provide an approximation of the capacitor plates to each other at a distance at which the total capacity of the piston position sensor guarantees the generation of a signal, the quantity of which is sufficient to trigger the solenoid valve.
EFFECT: excluding the fuel flow from the measuring chamber of the measuring cylinder with high pressure of liquid into the measuring chamber of smaller pressure.
