FIELD: mining.
SUBSTANCE: safety connection comprises a first and a second part of a riser, mutually overlapping in axial direction and having end connections for attachment to the riser as its part, and a separating unit rigidly connects two parts of the riser when in non-actuated mode. The separating unit also has other modes including partially activated mode and fully activated mode. At that, the separating unit comprises at least one extensible rod capable to stretch in axial direction, which is connected between two parts of the riser and configured with the possibility of plastic deformation before destruction, activating the separating unit switching from non-activated mode to partially and fully activated modes.
