FIELD: automotive engineering.
SUBSTANCE: when implementing the method for automatic limiting of the motor vehicle speed, the allowed speed of movement is set. The actual speed of motion is compared with the allowed speed of motion. The actual speed of movement is adjusted by mechanical action on the drive (5, 7) of the throttle valve (6) of the engine with possibility for removing the limit of allowable speed of motion. The mechanical action is imposed on a pedal (8) of the throttle valve drive (6) by means of a lever mechanism (7) providing return stroke of the pedal (8) of the throttle drive (5, 7). The allowed speed of motion is set before to the moment when it is reached. The limit of allowable speed of motion is removed by acting on the pedal (8) of the of the throttle valve (6) drive (5, 7) with a force exceeding the compensator spring rate.
EFFECT: improved reliability of automatic speed limitation and improved safety.
