SUBSTANCE: adjustable curved downhole tool for connecting to the drill string comprises a first cylindrical body defining a first longitudinal axis, a second cylindrical body defining a second longitudinal axis, a bearing assembly comprising an inner ring and an outer ring connected to said first body, the inner ring being connected to said second body, the bearing assembly comprises a rotary joint between the inner and outer rings enabling rotation of said second body with respect to said first body about the axis perpendicular to the first longitudinal axis and the first linear drive fixed within said first body at the first radial distance from the first longitudinal axis and directed for movement parallel to the first longitudinal axis. The first linear drive is functionally connected to the inner ring to apply axial force thereto in order to drive the first linear drive for rotating said second body relative to said first body.
EFFECT: control of the curvature angle when the tool is in the well.
