FIELD: machine engineering.
SUBSTANCE: portable installation for receiving water from snow and/or ice includes a charging hopper and a melting chamber. In the inner cavity of the melting chamber, which has a heat-radiating layer, a vertically rotating fire tube is located centrally. Horizontal and vertical perforated partitions are placed inside the flire tube. In this case, the fire tube is made as one with a screw, which has hollow two-pass spirals.
EFFECT: increasing the efficiency of obtaining water by improving the melting process allows to increase the productivity of the unit, obtained from the unit of the volume of the melting chamber, by 2 times and to reduce fuel consumption per unit of water received by 3 times.
