FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: method of regenerating the spent alumina-palladium catalyst of carbon monoxide oxidation comprises treating the catalyst with a solution of formic acid sodium with subsequent washing and drying. To implement the possibility to carry out the secondary regeneration, the solution of formic acid sodium is taken with a concentration of 4-12 wt % and fed with a speed of 5-10 dm3/min, and drying of the catalyst is carried out initially at a temperature of 18-60°C for 3-3.5 hours and then at a temperature of 105-120°C to a moisture content of not more than 5%.

EFFECT: implementing the possibility to carry out the secondary regenerating of the spent regenerated catalyst, obtaining a catalyst with basic technical characteristics not worse than that of the catalyst after the first regeneration, and simplifying the hardware design of the method.
