METHOD FOR TREATMENT OF SUSTAINABLE PAROXISMAL STATES AND GENERALIZED MYOCLONIA IN PATIENTS WITH CONSEQUENCES OF HEAVY DAMAGE TO BRAIN Russian patent published in 2018 - IPC A61M16/01 A61K31/02 A61K31/13 A61P25/28

Abstract RU 2641163 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: patients subjected to medical anaesthesia. The trachea is intubated and the patient is transferred to artificial lung ventilation. At that, after trachea intubation and transfer to artificial lung ventilation, medical anaesthesia is performed, including inhalation anaesthesia with Sevoflurane at a dose of 2.0-3.0 vol % MAC 0.8-0.9 for 24-48 hours and additional intravenous infusion of Ketamine in a dose of 1-2 mg/kg-h for 2 hours, starting from the 2nd hour of medical anaesthesia. Artificial lung ventilation is carried out on a semi-closed contour in the "Pressure control" or "Pressure support" mode under the control of capnometry and arterial blood gases analysis.

EFFECT: method allows to increase the effectiveness of treatment of paroxysmal and persistent generalized myoclonia in patients with consequences of heavy brain damage due to the lasting effect of seized paroxysms and hyperkinesia after termination of medical anaesthesia with application of Sevoflurane and Ketamine.
