FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: method includes the following steps, at which the image of the tissue section during fluorescence diagnostics and fixed with monochrome and colour video cameras is obtained. Next, the diagnostic cursor is set on the image fragment corresponding to the tissue section on which the fluorescence measurement is made. Then the index of the fluorescence is determined in the field selected with the diagnostic cursor, the obtained value of the fluorescence index is normalized to the reference index of the fluorescence, thus obtaining a relative or absolute concentration of the photosensitizer. Next, a numerical value of the concentration of the photosensitizer is output on the output device. The following steps are used to determine the fluorescence index. The average value of the image pixel intensity obtained from the monochrome video camera in the area indicated by the diagnostic cursor is calculated and normalized to the parameters of the monochrome video camera. The average value of the pixel intensity of the red channel image of the colour video camera in the area indicated by the diagnostic cursor is calculated and normalized to the parameters of the colour video camera. Then the first received value is normalized to the second one.
EFFECT: invention allows to increase the efficiency of photodynamic therapy, and to improve the quality of logging the conducted studies.
