FIELD: machine engineering.
SUBSTANCE: electrostatic sprayer comprises a rotating bowl and drive means for rotating the bowl about the axis of rotation. The bowl has a concave surface for distributing the covering material and an edge defining the area of covering material spraying. The spraying device is provided with at least one first ionizing charging electrode for droplets of the coating material located with respect to the edge and along the axis of rotation, opposite the spraying zone, and passing between the edge of the bowl and the bowl drive means. In addition, the sprayer is provided with at least one second electrode for creating electrostatic field, which provides transfer of droplets to an object to be coated and mounted on the fixed body of the sprayer. The sprayer also comprises a third electrode which is installed on a stationary body and having in the course of operation an intermediate electric potential between the potentials of the first and second electrodes. The device for spraying the liquid covering material contains at least one sprayer.
EFFECT: increased efficiency of electrostatic charging of coating material droplets, which makes it possible to use the electrostatic effect for directing said droplets to the object to be coated.
