FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention describes a method for manufacture and application of an ophthalmic device with power supply with an integrated energy saving mode. The method comprises the step of integrating an insert with a medium into an ophthalmic device with power supply, the medium insert comprising an electrical circuit including an electric power source, an electric load, and the first switching mechanism. The first switching mechanism has many modes, including the first mode, transferring the ophthalmologic device to the specified low-power state. The first switching mechanism introduces resistance to limit current passage through the electrical load when the first saving mode and the operating mode are in effect. The first switching mechanism provides an increase in current passage through the electrical load when the operating mode is active. The method comprises the step of first switching mechanism transfer to the first saving mode.
EFFECT: decreased power consumption in ophthalmic devices.
