SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for forming an ophthalmic insertion device. Technical result is achieved by a method of forming an ophthalmic insertion device, which includes application of nanoscale metal elements on a three-dimensional substrate. Nanoscale metal elements have a surface area less than or approximately equal to 10,000 nm2. Method further includes securing the three-dimensional substrate within the insert.

EFFECT: technical result is the creation of ophthalmic devices by embedding nanostructures therein.
