FIELD: veterinary science.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to veterinary medicine and is associated with the development of coprological method for the diagnosis of intestinal parasites in birds and mites eggs. Method consists is taking a sample of feces weighing 1–2 g, putting it in coprological glass, pouring with 10 ml of distilled water, stirring, adding 20–30 ml of water, filtering through a metal sieve into a clean glass, allowing to settle for 5 minutes, draining the top portion, pouring the remainder into 13 ml centrifuge tube, centrifuging for 3 minutes at 1,500 g, after draining the liquid to a precipitation at the bottom of the tube, adding to precipitation a flotation liquid consisting of saturated solution of zinc chloride – 1,750 g per liter, and saturated sugar solution – 1,333 g per liter, taken in a ratio of 1.5:1, respectively, stirring and centrifuging for 3 minutes at 1,500 g, and then micro-scoping the surface film.
EFFECT: method is fast, allows to reveal eggs and larvae of intestinal parasites in birds, their larvae, as well as eggs of mites, and has high diagnostic efficiency.
