FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to veterinary science. The technique consists in sampling the excrements of weight 3-5 g, putting in a glass and filling in with a small amount of a flotation fluid. Herewith the flotation fluid contains the saturated saline and glycerine in the ratio 2:1. Then the suspension is stirred; and 40-50 ml of this solution is added and filtered through a metal sieve or gauze in a clean glass. The suspension is left for sedimentation within 15 minutes for detection of eggs, or within 30 minutes for detection of both eggs and larvae of intestinal strongylata. Then a loop removes a surface film to be transferred on a slide and microscoped.
EFFECT: method allows detecting eggs and larvae of intestinal strongylata in ruminants simultaneously.
