FIELD: veterinary medicine.
SUBSTANCE: protozoa cysts and helminth eggs are isolated with a prepared flotation solution, including the following: sodium nitrate, ammonium nitrate, sodium nitrate with potassium nitrate or sodium thiosulfate. An optical microscope with an ocular digital USB camera and an electronic computer with the Unix operating system are used for microscopy, and the identification of causative agents of intestinal parasitic diseases of dogs is carried out using an artificial neural network.
EFFECT: invention provides reduction of time for conducting scatological examination; simplifying the interpretation of its results; automation of methods for identifying intestinal parasitosis in dogs by using artificial neural networks to identify pathogens of intestinal parasitic diseases in dogs.
