FIELD: acoustics; manufacturing technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to noise suppression. Silencer includes a body with end walls, an inlet and an outlet branch pipe and a sound attenuating element, made in the form of chambers filled with sound-insulating material, formed by coaxially installed perforated inserts with partitions and the inner surface of the housing, in the middle of the noise-damping element, along its perimeter, a container is opened, open on the airway side and formed by the inner surface of the housing and the end surfaces of the inserts, one of chambers comprises a partition movable in axial direction, said partition being shaped as cross section of chamber, and the movable baffle is rigidly connected to at least two guiding strips located on both sides of the diagonal of the cross section, interacting with grooves formed in the end surface of the insert, and a guide apron is attached to the movable partition, perpendicular thereto and along the entire perimeter, interacting with the inner surface of the insert. Noise-absorbing element is made in form of two perforated walls, between which a multi-layer sound-absorbing element is located, the multi-layer sound-absorbing element is made of two-layered, the layer adjacent to one of the walls is sound-absorbing, and adjacent to another perforated wall is made of a sound-reflecting material of a complex profile consisting of uniformly distributed hollow tetrahedra, which enable to reflect sound waves incoming from all directions. As a sound-absorbing material of the noise-damping element layer, a porous sound-absorbing ceramic material is used.
EFFECT: higher efficiency of noise suppression.
