FIELD: machine engineering.
SUBSTANCE: noise suppressor includes a body coaxial to the inlet and outlet branch pipes and a resonance insert mounted coaxially to the body, the body and the resonant insert are coaxially arranged and have equidistant polygonal profile in the cross-section, for example rectangular, with the resonant insert along the edges provided with a diffuser and confuser with rigidly fixed perforated discs, a rib in the form of solid partition separating the resonant insert into two chambers is installed in the middle of the resonance insert, and the resonant insert is fixed in the body by means of fastening elements made in the form of at least one partition with holes. The body inside and the resonance insert outside are coated with sound-absorbing material. The sound-absorbing element is made in the form of a ring covering the resonant insert, the axial section of the annular sound-absorbing element is made in the form of smooth and perforated walls, between which there are two layers: sound-reflecting layer adjacent to the rigid wall and acoustic-absorbing layer adjacent to the perforated wall. The layer of sound reflecting material is made from the complex profile composed of evenly distributed hollow tetrahedrons allowing to reflect acoustic waves falling in all directions.
EFFECT: noise suppression efficiency improvement.
