FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: laser for generating a pulsed light beam comprises an output mirror configured to reflect the reflected portion of the pulsed light beam back to the laser and to add a portion of the pulsed light beam to the output of the laser. Also, the laser comprises an end reflector configured to return the pulsed light beam to the laser; an amplifying material disposed along the optical path between the output mirror and the end reflector, configured to amplify the pulsed light beam. In addition, the laser contains a self-starting saturated absorber configured to self-start the pulsed mode of the laser operation with the mod synchronization and a saturated absorber to generate the pulses, configured to generate the pulses of the pulsed light beam into the laser pulses with a pulse duration of less than 1000 femtoseconds.

EFFECT: ensuring the possibility of the laser stability to external influences.
