FIELD: optical technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of optics and can be used in the design of fiber laser sources, fiber amplifiers, supercontinuum and second harmonic generators. The multifunctional fiber laser source of noise-like pulses includes a master fiber erbium laser source of noise-like pulses, a counter-pumped fiber amplifier and a piece of nonlinear optical fiber on a quartz basis. A 190 m long fiber ring resonator and multimode pumping are used. It is possible to adjust the optical characteristics of the master fiber erbium laser source without measuring the resonator, as well as adjusting the output spectrum of the supercontinuum.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to increase the pumping life, increase the output power of a fiber laser, does not require additional elements to amplify pulses, increase the output power after the amplifier, obtain a stable self-start, and also obtain a flat and wide spectrum of the supercontinuum without the use of special fibers.
