FIELD: engine devices and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: in the proposed technical solution, combustion products are not released into the atmosphere, but undergo an additional compression stroke and, in the zone where the piston reaches the top dead center, a metering jet of water is injected into the combustion chamber. At the same time, due to the still very high heat content of the combustion products, water evaporates and an additional working fluid (combustion products plus water vapour) is created, which makes the second full (similar to the first) operating stroke. And only after the second operating stroke is completed, the exhaust working fluid is released into the atmosphere (the sixth stroke). A distinctive feature of the described six-stroke engine is that the combustion chamber of each cylinder is cylinder-conical and additionally equipped with an injector for injection into the combustion chamber of water by means of a high-pressure pump.
EFFECT: higher efficiency of engine operation.
