SUBSTANCE: method of video coding for predicting pixel values of each target pixel in a target block in planar mode is disclosed. The method comprises of the step of obtaining a prediction mode selected by the encoder from a plurality of different intraframe prediction modes including DC mode, directional modes and planar mode. According to the method, the first prediction value of each target pixel is calculated using linear interpolation between the pixel value of the horizontal limit pixel in the same horizontal position, as each target pixel from the plurality of horizontal limit pixels on the upper side of the target block, and the pixel value of one vertical limit pixel from a plurality of vertical limit pixels on the left side of the target block, when the prediction mode is a planar mode.

EFFECT: increase in the efficiency of video coding and decoding by providing intraframe prediction in the planar mode.
