FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: method for adjusting the fuel composition is proposed to increase the heat resistance of the liquid fuel, which includes direct injection of the first fuel (liquid propane) in the internal combustion engine (ICE) through the fuel distribution rail when the fuel temperature drops below a threshold value; and in response to a fuel temperature greater than the threshold value, direct injection of the liquid mixture of the first fuel and the second fuel (gasoline) through the fuel distribution rail. Gasoline can be added in sufficient quantities to liquid propane to ensure that the mixture remains a liquid when the engine is running.
EFFECT: amount of gasoline injected into propane can be based on exceeding the fuel temperature above the threshold, extending the working range of the first fuel.
