FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to mechanical building, namely, speed adjustment, with which the fuel supply varies with the variation between the joint fuel supply profiles in a multi-fuel vehicle. Method for a multi-fuel vehicle engine 10 is disclosed. Method includes transition from operating the engine 10 with a first split ratio of a first fuel and a second fuel to operating with a second different split ratio. Rate of change in split ratio during the transition is determined by the operating conditions of the engine 10 and is limited per engine cycle. First fuel is a fuel different from the second fuel. Moreover, this limitation is additionally based on the direction of the change in the split ratio. Also method variants for the multi-fuel vehicle engine are disclosed.
EFFECT: technical result consists in reducing the deterioration of combustion and abnormal combustion in cylinders.
